Бесплатные строения и их содержание:
Используя Блокнот (или другой текстовый редактор) откройте файл "buildings" в каталоге "/East India Company/Data/AI". В нем будут следующие строки:

Под каждым из зданий отображаются уровни. К примеру:

Эти уровни отображают количество ресурсов, необходимых для постройки здания на каждом из пяти уровней. Измените один (или все, если необходимо) из них. К примеру:

То есть теперь здание "Fort" 1-го уровня стоит 1 золота, 1 леса, 1 камня, 1 железа, 1 золота на содержание и строится 1 месяц.
Модификация кораблей:
Используя текстовый редактор измените файл "shiptypes" в директории "\East India Company\Data\AI". В данном файле содержится конфигурация всех кораблей: цена, количество HP, количество пушек, объем трюма и т.д. Изменение этого файла повлечет за собой изменение геймплея, поскольку AI использует эти же настройки для покупки и использования своих кораблей.
К примеру:
